Open water swimming competitions, which take place in the incomparable surroundings of Empúries’ Sea.
From the Sports Councillorship, we propose several itineraries to reach everyone’s preferences and abilities, as long swimming distances might not be suitable for everybody. Therefore, you can choose to take part in any of the three proposed itineraries, the 2.2 km 16th La Travessa de l’Escala, the 900 m 7th Port d’en Perris or the 600 m 16th Cargolada de l’Escala.
While swimming you will enjoy the sight of unique and privileged sites, which for sure will move you, as they are located in the incomparable surroundings of l’Escala and Sant Martí d’Empúries urban centres. You will enjoy the seashore of our bay, which is part of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays Club. A distinction with UNESCO’s endorsement, which is currently held only by thirty bays around the world. Certainly, this distinction recognises the touristic, scenic and cultural values of our surroundings.
